Statistics: Russia’s CPI index at zero between August 11-Monday
MOSCOW, Aug 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation was registered at zero from August 11 through Monday, and reached 2.9% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Sugar prices rose by 0.5% in the period, pork, mutton, fruit and berry preserves for children grew by 0.3%, butter, bread, lunch in a canteen or cafe grew in price by 0.2%. The buckwheat prices rose by 0.2%
Millet price fell by 0.5%, sterilized milk by 0.3%, sour cream, eggs and pasta by 0.2%, rice fell by 0.1%
Fruit and vegetable prices decreased by 3.2% on average.
Gasoline and diesel fuel prices remained flat.
